University Honors College Studio is a companion to our UHC seminar, and is intended to refine and hone our college writing skills. For this studio, we had to blog approximately 500 words a week, to get us in the habit of writing frequently. We could blog about whatever we wanted, and many of my blogs aren't extremely academic in nature.

The blogs are basically written about whatever pops into my head on a certain day, or a reaction to something that happened to me during the week. I found they were easiest to write when the subject just came to me, rather than something I actively thought about. They aren’t the most analytical or serious, but they are just what came out when I sat down at the computer. My book report happened because I got lost in Mugar one day, strangely enough in a section filled with books about cinema, and saw that one on the shelf. I thought it looked interesting so I checked it out, and it turned out to be a lot more interesting than I thought. Otherwise they’re just kind of goofy little insights into who I am, and aren’t intended to be of particular academic interest. They were my break from analytical writing.
