After learning new skills from the first set of essays, writing Essay 2.1 was not as difficult.  However, I had the most trouble revising and writing Essay 2.2.  I didn't know what I wanted to say, how to effectively structure my essay, and integrate a source that would contribute to my argument.  Lacking ideas, I wrote multiple outlines...


 


Unfortunately, the more I attempted to organize my thoughts, the more disorganized I became.  I wanted to use material from Essay 2.1, but the source I found did not provide substantial support to my thesis.  In this second series of essays, I realized that an essay needs a composed and focused thesis.  I also needed to plan ahead in alotting enough time to write, and more importantly, write about a topic that I was interested in.
