Improving the Performance of Nurses in Upper Egypt
IH745 Group Project: Monitoring & Evaluation of International Health Programs
High quality interpersonal communication skills are known to improve treatment adherence and health outcomes and client-provider communication (CPC) is recognized as a competency of equal importance to clinical skills and medical knowledge. Yet, only a small fraction of nurses participating in the “Improving the Performance of Nurses” (IPN) Project focused on CPC as compared to the two other focus areas: infection control and basic nursing care. This paper outlines a rationale for increasing the number of nurses undertaking quality improvement projects in the area of CPC.
In order to evaluate client-provider communication (CPC) in hospitals in Upper Egypt, we will conduct a mixed methods quasi-experimental cohort study to assess the impact of the Management Sciences for Health (MSH) Leadership Development Program (LDP).
This Stakeholder Analysis was performed for the “Improving the Performance of Nurses” (IPN) Project in Upper Egypt.
This Logic Model sets out how the Leadership Development Program (LDP) intervention is intended to produce improved health outcomes in Upper Egypt.
This questionnaire, created by the IH745 IPN Group, is intended to evaluate client-provider communication in maternal and child health departments in hospitals in Upper Egypt.
