Adventures in Abstracts Part 2
I would like to take a moment to compare the abstract from the first draft to the abstract from the final version of the first essay. The differences are staggering. Of course, my abstracts continued to improve throughout the semester, but this represents the most important growth in this area. I injected a third-party voice into the final abstract, listing the specific cases analyzed and presenting arguments and counterarguments. My “INSERT PERSONAL OPINION” weaved its way into the paragraph without attacking the reader. Overall, the final abstract is one I can appreciate and use to improve.
