Comments?

Feedback is an essential part of any revision process. Our class was broken down into partners based on similar topics, and we spent multiple days commenting on different drafts. By the time the final essay was submitted, I had many draft versions containing comments from four different partners. The advice given ranged from source suggestions to grammatical corrections, and all of it proved useful at one point or another. By this time in the semester, I had also learned that I needed to respond to the comments immediately in writing to help spur on my revision process. I tried to do this as much as possible throughout the writing of the third essay. I also commented on my own writing in bold as I produced each draft. The screenshot below shows an example of all three styles of editing.
