Plaza de España in Seville, Spain
Hi. My name is Erin Fitzgibbons and I am a graduate of the Boston University MSOT program at the Sargent College for Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. I loved the program, learned from the brilliant faculty and my peers, and I am looking forward to starting my career as an Occupational Therapist!
After high school I attended the University of Connecticut and graduated with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies, with a focus on Early Childhood Development, and with a minor in Psychology. During the first few summers of college I worked in an elementary school summer program as a teacher's aide. This is where I discovered OT. I am really excited that I chose this field for several reasons. I am a creative person and love the idea that as an Occupational Therapist I can help people by thinking out of the box. I also enjoy learning about different people and their different stories. I am fascinated by the individuality of a person and as an OT I can combine things I love, such as art and music, with my desire to help and learn about others. Personally, I cannot think of a better way to live my life.
