After leaving the bacteria to grow for a couple of weeks, the bacteria plates began to develop colonies. There was both distict growth as well as diffuse growth and the colonies were multiple colors such as brown, orange, and pink. My group observed roughylt twenty colonies developing on the plate. The distinct growth colonies took form in many different ways. Some colonies were circular smooth or dry powdry and others were irregular or rhizoid with flat smooth surfaces. The diffuse growth bacteria mostly lined around the rim of the plate. The surface of this sort of bacteria was dry and mostly flat. Although other groups observed fungal growth, my group's plate did not have any.
