I don't think this novel fits into your thesis. I think if you did try to incorporate it, you would end up making a lot of weak stretches to try and force it to fit, and that isn't in your best interest. I think you have good exhibits as it is and that you should be focusing on argument sources at this point.

 

The alignment of the devil and performance-as-decption is interesting, and fits in with the Faust myth's origin as theater.
