In the Tudor portraits, the queen beside Henry VIII is Jane Seymour - the only wife to bear him a son (his third wife). Mary's mother (Catharine of Aragon) and Elizabeth's mother (Anne Boleyn) are conspicuously absent, though both girls are present. None of Henry's future wives will bear him any suriviving children.
