Revisions due 22 April

In the process of constructing your Portfolio for this course, you will need to have a proposed topic, thesis, or question. The goal of this assignment is to help you identify that focus and to begin to outline the process of researching your chosen topic.

Your Proposal should include your suggested Exhibit source(s) and at least six other sources (with at least one Fact, Argument, and Theory source). Describe how you plan to use these sources (you need not have finished reading your sources) in exploring your subject.

Your Research Process Proposal should be 900-1500 words (equivalent to 3-5 pages, double-spaced), and should introduce your topic and the line of inquiry you plan to follow. You may have a specific argumentative thesis, a question or series of questions in which you are interested, or simply a general subject you wish to explore.

Begin with a paragraph on your topic. What do you intend to do with this project? What are the questions you are trying to answer? What (if you have one) is your thesis?

Give each Exhibit source a paragraph in which you describe its value to your project.

If you have a particularly important Fact or Theory source(s), give that its own paragraph, as well.

In the final paragraph of the proposal, suggest what other sources or types of sources you intend to use and why.

Email your file, put it on your Digication Portfolio, or Submit your Proposal and revisions here.
